Department of Statistics established in 1977 is one of the biggest and leading departments in Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Department started M.Sc. in Statistics from 2011-12 with 17 students. The department has a well equipped laboratory with 40 PCs, MINITAB and other software's and Printers. The departmental and central library have a fairly rich collection of Books and Journals. All colleagues strive hard to cultivate research attitude amongst students through academic activities such as research projects, Statistics Quiz, Seminars, SUSTA activities (Shivaji University Statistics Teachers' Association). The glory of the department is reflected in our alumni holding responsible positions in prestigious fields.
